Four years have passed since the distillation was restart as "Asaka Distillery" in 2016, and the first "Single Cask Whisky 2016 Distillation, OX year edition" was released at the beginning of 2021. In Japan, we use kanji to tell time and direction since ancient times. There are twelve animal signs used as symbols for each year and it calls “Japanese twelve zodiac signs”. We hope that we will be able to continue to mature the whisky as each zodiac turns once every 12 years.
